Rene Hersey, known locally as a superb cook, started a take out business this last summer in the closed restaurant, previously known as Auntie Em's. There Rene, aka Mrs. Beezley, a childhood nickname, cooked up delicious home cooked meals to go. When I talked to her about needing someone locally to make a smaller jar of jam for our breakfast assortments, Rene took on the project and made about 10 cases. The jam is in several of our assortments, but here you can buy it separately. It is an 8 ounce jar. Ingredients are Maine wild blueberries, sugar, lemon juice and pectin.
