"The Katahdin and Greenville Panorama", 7 1/2 by 22 inches. The iconic buildings of downtown Greenville, the Shaw Block, Union Church, soon-to-be-gone Black Frog, Jamo's, and of course, the Katahdin. Passengers are looking around aboard the Kate while waiting to depart, and the usual northwest breeze is blowing up some waves and the flags, including the Moosehead Yacht Club's on the bow. Milt has captured the scene so many witness during Moosehead's short tourist season.
Milt Christianson has lived and worked in Maine since 1970. He has traveled and painted in India, Australia, and Russia, as well as much of the United States. He exhibits in Maine and in Tucson, Arizona. Milt is a familiar sight around Moosehead in the summer, painting, and then selling his work at craft fairs. This summer he'll be travelling, painting out west, but we'll have many of his prints here on Moosehead Marketplace.
Milt lives on land he homesteaded in the small, remote town of Wellington in the northwoods of Maine, a little southwest of Greenville.
