This 14 x 19 print is of our favorite lady of the lake, the Katahdin, or "Kate" as she's known locally. Kate just celebrated her 100th birthday in 2014, and she looks great thanks to all of her supporters. When first built, passengers were picked up and dropped off at various landings around the lake. Then she rested for a while before carrying river drivers and pulling pulpwood down the lake. Another break for Kate, and once restored, she now carries passengers again, on three hour and day long cruises. As in this image, the Kate is central to Moosehead Lake, and loved by many.
These prints by Milton Christianson are giclees of his original watercolors. They are fine art, limited-edition reproductions on acid free paper and are archival.
