These Loon Prints are created from original watercolor paintings by Valfred Thelin. Valfred was intriged by birds (especially loons) in the late 70's early 80's and had many bird paintings in this series. These Loon Prints are fine art limited edition, numbered and signed reproductions of original pieces. Valfred Thelin lived and worked in Ogunquit, Maine since 1969 until his passing in 1992. Valfred was an internationally recognized artist. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut and was trained in the European apprentice tradition by his grandfather. Valfred's daughter Eva Sawtelle has a home here in Shirley/Greenville area and wanted to share her father's art as Loons are such a well known bird here in the Moosehead Lake area.

The "Around the Corner" print with border is 24 by 19, without the border it is 19 by 15.
