In earlier days, several trains a day came to the Moosehead region on the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad, the Maine Central Railroad and the Canadian Pacific. Thousands of summer visitors would arrive by train at Greenville Junction, step off the coach and onto a waiting steamer at the Junction Wharf.
With many seldom seen vintage photographs, the story of these old railroads makes this book a must read for anyone interested in the history of the Moosehead region and railroads.

Great Railroad Book!
I'm a railroad guy! The history in the North woods on railroading is fascinating. Today we use a lot of those rail beds to snowmobile on! This is a great book. I'm glad I got it.
